These Penny End T Hinges are a popular choice for hanging ledged and braced/plank doors. They are hot forged and drawn to shape with the knuckle fashioned in the traditional way which makes for a very strong hinge. Traditionally a hinge was chosen to reach two thirds of the width of the door - we recommend that a hinge at least half the door width should carry the weight of most doors. For particularly heavy doors a third hinge can be added. Maintenance instructions must be followed to preserve the finish of your product.
