Strong lines and solid shapes
Many of our industrial style designs incorporate straight clean lines and solid shapes; hand-forged ceiling plates and quality fittings. Our Stocksmoor light, for example, is an open, urban lantern with a retro filament LED bulb. Available as a single pendant, three-light pendant or wall light.

Our large Railroad pendant light headlines a range of lights which feature clear prismatic glass shades. These distinctive shades have been used in many a lofty train station, workshop and municipal building. Designed to be functional, they are also handsome.

Inspired by the world of work, we make a bulkhead-style light particularly suited to low ceilings and corridor walls. Our Cumberworth design also features a wrought iron rim hand-decorated with our signature textured metalwork finish. We make a range of spotlights with adjustable heads to provide focused task lighting. Our wrought iron Illions spots have hand-rolled hoods fixed with copper rivets.

Celebrating our industrial work ethic
We are launching new industrial style lighting all the time and our latest is named after Kelham Island – the very heart of Sheffield’s steelmaking industry. This wall light has straight lines and an open fitting for a retro LED filament bulb. It’s hand-finished to give it a mid-grey, oxidised texture and an aged appearance.

Nigel learned his metalworking skills as an apprentice blacksmith to the National Coal Board in the 1970s. He made parts for mine machinery and railroads; and tack for pit ponies!
