Bespoke Enquiries

A guide to how we handle enquiries for bespoke ironwork

Bespoke Work

Our blacksmiths are usually kept busy manufacturing the wide range of products we have in our portfolio, but we are, on occasion, happy to take on bespoke lighting and interior ironwork projects too.

We understand that some larger projects and particular interior design schemes require a more individual approachin order to provide the perfect wrought iron lighting, curtain poles or ironwork fittings.

Each enquiry for bespoke work is considered on a case by case basis. We need to make sure we can both make the quality product which meets your requirements, and we can do this in a way which is viable for our small independent business. We must also ensure each bespoke job has realistic lead-times.

Where we can help, we always enjoy working with our customers, often interior designers and other property professionals, to achieve the perfect results for a bespoke brief.

Most of the bespoke jobs we take on are quite large in scale or lead to long-term repeat orders. For example, we have carried out bespoke work for Windsor Castle, the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and Bolton Castle. We have produced exclusive bespoke items over several years to Eagle Brae luxury log cabins, Hotter shoes shops and the Yorkshire Shepherd’s Hut Company.

We regularly work with commercial clients on bespoke interior schemes for restaurants, bars and venues like the Trocadero Centre in London, the Buxton Roastery and the Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley.

We also often customise our work to help meet the fitting challenges presented by many customers’ period homes and listed properties.

In all these cases, we have years of experience working with clients to design and make bespoke lighting and interior ironwork solutions.

As a rule, we do not take on commissions for smaller, one-off items due to time constraints in our busy workshop. It is simply not viable for us to design and make one small bespoke piece. However, as much of our work is handmade to order, we can sometimes alter our designs to suit your requirements. This alteration may incur an additional fee to cover the additional time involved.

All decisions about bespoke, customisation and non-standard order requests are made at our directors’ discretion. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. We'll let you know if we think we can help and then supply a quote based on your detailed brief.
