The sconce or wall light

The sconce as we know it today has evolved from the decorative wall fixtured originally designed to hold candles, used to light corridors and hallways whilst keeping the flame away from the ceiling and wall. Today the electric equivalent is still used to provide both light and interest, traditionally crafted from wrought iron to add character to your favourite spaces. Often installed in pairs to provide balance, framing doorways for example.
