Nigel Tyas Marks 25 Years of Hand-Forged Excellence

Today marks the 25th anniversary of Nigel Tyas, a standout name in British wrought iron lighting, curtain poles, and homeware. Over the past two decades, the brand has grown from a small workshop into a national symbol of craftsmanship, trusted for its timeless designs and dedication to quality.

From Yorkshire Forge to Suffolk Partnership
When Nigel Tyas and Elizabeth Stoker founded the business in 2004, their vision was clear: create elegant, hand-forged ironwork that can be passed down through generations. Over the years, Nigel Tyas became known for its ethos of “forged for life, built to endure”, reflecting a commitment to both durability and aesthetic authenticity.

In September 2025, the company entered a new chapter: relocating its workshop from Yorkshire to Suffolk and partnering with Made by the Forge, local blacksmiths who share the same philosophy of British craftsmanship. Nigel and Elizabeth continue to oversee every detail of design, ensuring the classic collections are brought to life just as they intended. nigeltyas.co.uk

Nigel Tyas, founder and creative director, commented:
“Reaching 25 years feels like passing a meaningful milestone. It highlights that well-made craft resonates and has endured. Partnering with Made by the Forge ensures that the spirit of each handcrafted piece remains true to its original design.”

Orders are currently paused during the workshop transition, but the team anticipates reopening late 2025. Enthusiasts and longtime customers are encouraged to sign up to be notified when the new collections go live at https://www.nigeltyas.co.uk.
