A long standing customer of the business, Yorkshire Premium cottages, once again entrusted Nigel Tyas to create a unique piece for the latest project. This former weavers cottage was fully refurbished in an extensive project that sees an outbuilding linked the main social hub of the house by a subterranean tunnel, lit by our Stocksmoor wall lights when the night comes and the large ceiling light no longer shines through into the hallway. In the main living space we developed a version of our Wilshaw and crafted this minimal, modern Chandelier with a forged steel framework allowing individual large globe LED bulbs to appear suspended like bubbles or balloons floating through the room. Our Wilshaw wall lights accompany this centrepiece and throughout the bedrooms we have traditional curl end cottage poles for the curtains. Our range of Mitre table and Standard lamps complete the look.
Made to measure curtain poles are a must for heritage properties such as this where no two window dressings are alike. Given the age of the property we spent time ensuring a perfect fit and custom made brackets were required to give the “holiday let” a finished product that will stand the test of time and many happy visitors.
