A Traditional Shepherd Crook For This Modern Farmhouse

When Jeff and Layla first met us at Penistone Show they were impressed by our range of lighting and wanted us to create a chandelier for the entrance to the redeveloped farmhouse they were working on.

Meeting to discuss their requirements back at the showroom, we have not only supplied a new Shepherd Crook chandelier for the hallway but also taken Jeff’s own working crook and reimagined the design into the curtain pole finials throughout the house. Shown in a contemporary light burnished steel finish alongside a 3 light Broadstone pendant and a custom Broadstone over the breakfast bar, this home is finished to an incredibly high standard.

A shepherd’s crook is a traditional farming tool used to help guide the sheep and to enable a Shepherd to carefully catch a young lamb when required. The crook Jeff had was cherished and sentimental and it was great to be able to replicate this in our finial design.

Light bars or tracks, like the one shown over the breakfast bar are a great way to illuminate a kitchen space for entertaining – we’ve blogged in the past about kitchen lighting HERE and encourage you to discuss your requirements for made to measure pieces like this.
