2. Decide on the length of pole using the diagram above – please DO NOT include the length of the finials in your measurement.

Please note that the 10cm shown is a guide and can be increased or decreased as required.

3. Choose your favourite finial(s) - click here to see our collection of 15 handmade finials

4. Choose the style & number of brackets - click here to read our useful guidelines about choosing your brackets

If you are unsure about the best brackets to use please call, we will be pleased to help. We normally recommend a vertical or horizontal bracket at each end of the pole & a central support bracket for poles between 2m & 3m in length. For longer poles needing more than one support bracket you will need to use hook brackets with open curtain hooks to allow the curtain to run past the supports.

1. Choose the pole, finial, rings and finish as described above.

2. Decide on the length of the pole using the diagram above – please give us the total overall length required from the wall INCLUDING the finial and EXCLUDING the depth of the single recess bracket.

Please note that the 10cm shown is a guide and can be increased or decreased as required.

3. Choose a single recess bracket to fit the non-finial end of the pole and other bracket(s) as above - click here to read our useful guidelines about choosing your brackets

4. How to measure for a double recess pole - a pole without finials with each end fitting onto an adjacent wall

1. Choose the pole, rings and finish as described above.

2. Decide on the length of the pole using the diagram above – please give us the overall width of the recess EXCLUDING the depth of the double recess brackets - we will make the necessary adjustment to allow for the depth of the brackets.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Please take the measurement as close as possible to the position where you would like the brackets to fit to the wall. It is surprising how much the width of a recess can vary from top to bottom and this can be enough to prevent a precision made pole from fitting!
