Welcome to the Nigel Tyas Ironwork video gallery
Here is your chance to take a look inside our business and see how we work. You can see some of our team in action - designing, making, selling and delivering our wrought iron products direct to customers all over the world. We’d like to introduce you to some of our customers too as they take you into their homes and show you their Nigel Tyas lighting, curtain poles and homewares in situ. We are very proud to be a small family-run craft business keeping ironworking skills alive in the UK and this is your chance to see our traditional – and modern - manufacturing skills up close.

A Pennine barn conversion – there’s no place like home
Creating beautiful and homely interiors involves combining a range of big ideas and little details. Professional designers take every element into account at the outset of ‘blank canvas’ schemes, including the all-important lighting and accessories. That’s why we were really pleased to be considered right from the start of Jane Schindler’s renovation of her 18th century barn conversion. Many of our lights, lamps, curtain poles and homeware feature in her calm and comfortable home – which she never wants to leave!
Thanks so much to Jane for sharing her Nigel Tyas experience in this video.
A special Hartcliff Chandelier - St. Leonard's Parish Church, Monyash, Derbyshire
Some time ago, one of our customers, Sheenagh Mudford, approached us about making a Hartcliff chandelier for her parish church of Monyash in Derbyshire. The chandelier was to be made in memory of her late husband. This is the story of it's design and installation in this beautiful historic building.
Our grateful thanks to Sheenagh for her contribution and help with this short film.
Welcome To Our Forge
All of our wrought ironwork is designed by Nigel and hand-forged by Nigel and his two skilled blacksmiths, Andrew and Simon. Each blacksmith sees his own work through from start to finish. You could treat yourself to a day out in some of the most beautiful countryside in Yorkshire, with our workshop and showroom right at the heart of it.
Our Customer Process
Over the years we have built our reputation on a personal and friendly customer service and now have many repeat customers or personally recommended customers. We completely understand that it can be hard to buy without seeing our work first and we are committed to helping you to make the right decision for your home.
