Wrought Iron Stair Rods

Our stair rods are handmade with 4 different ends and a range of forged twists. Each rod is supplied with a pair of brackets and screw fixings.

When you place your order, please tell us the overall width of your stairs and the width of your carpet runner. We normally recommend that the stair rod should extend approximately 45mm (1.75") beyond each edge of the carpet to allow for the bracket and finial.

All rods can be supplied as a plain round bar or with one or two forged twists as shown opposite. The stair rods below are ‘Acorn’ with plain bar, ‘Spear’ with one reverse twist and ‘Forged ball’ with one single twist.

All rods are forged from 12mm solid round bar and can be finished in any of the finishes shown here. Please note that with wax finishes it is possible that there could be some transfer of wax to the runner at the point where the runner is in direct contact with the rod.

Our handrails are all made to measure and can be made to match any of our curtain poles in a range of diameters and finishes.

Let us know the overall length required along with your choice of finials and we will let work out a price.

For example, a 2m long, 22mm diameter handrail with curl finials (as shown), 3 wall brackets and black wax finish would be priced at £165 plus carriage.
